CSA Produce
Terms and Conditions....
First let me thank you for your support!
After careful consideration and by listening to many of you who have joined CSA's in the past, I felt that there was an opportunity to create a CSA that would cater to small families, couples and singles who are on the go and would like more choice and maybe a little less produce! The Dirthugger CSA runs for about 10 weeks each season. Each week, you will receive 3 to 4 veggies picked fresh and packaged in reusable bags. Before each season starts, you will receive an email listing the produce that will be available. In order to give you more choice, I will ask you to send me an email back letting me know which veggies you love and which veggies you don't love and would rather not receive. This year, I hope to have a Farm Stand at the CSA pick up location, so that if you would like to buy more produce, you certainly may. The produce, flower bouquets and herb bundles at the Farm Stand will be available to the community, CSA members and Card Members first come first serve. Choice and Convenience, that's the ticket.
As for the prepaid cards, I will keep tabs on your purchases and will let you know if you are close to exceeding your pre-paid amount. All Members always have the opportunity to start a new tab within the season. All I ask is that you please don’t expect to buy everything all at once!
All memberships expire at the end of season.
Rainy Day Policy:
This may get tricky at times, but let's say this; if it's storming like crazy and dangerous to be out on the scheduled day of pick-up, then we will meet at the same location the following day. I don't see this situation arising too often, so let's just keep in close touch. It's safe to assume that unless there is a tornado, the pick up will carry on as scheduled.. I will certainly send an email that morning if there is an issue to let you know what's happening.
Leaving town on Vacation?
That's great and I hope you have a wonderful time!.. but having someone pick up your bag is your responsibility:) I don't have any space to hold bags or to repack and meet up with you another day. I understand that life is crazy and things come up, but it's best to keep this simple. If you can't come to pick up your bag, either let me know so I can donate the bag or have a buddy pick it up for you. No exceptions.
Emergency CSA cancellation:
Okay, this one's on me. If for some unforeseen reason, I have to cancel a CSA pick up day, then I promise to personally get those bags to you even if I deliver them to each and everyone's door. This happened a couple of times the first season because I was on my own, but this season I'll have some excellent help and doubt that there will be any cancellations.
Please know that I want to hear your feedback and suggestions. This is a relationship, and I want it to be a lasting one! You are the first members of Dirthugger Farm, and your support is appreciated and essential!
Thank you,
Meg Moore
